 What is Promotion & ePromotion? |
ePromotion is using your computer and it’s web connection to promote your books. If you are not using your computer and the Internet you are missing a huge fan base. It's up to you to create a “web presence” for yourself. Many publishers are cutting back on promotional budgets and leaving promotion to the authors. Even if your publisher does help on promoting your book, they will still expect you to do what you can to boost sales.
Here at Night Owl Reviews we do both web based promotion and traditional promotion. We offer authors opportunity to epromote themselves via Interviews, Book Reviews, Book Cover Spots, Banners, Debut & Feature Pages, Chats, Forums, and more via the website. We also offer a bookmark club, where readers can get snail mailed 5 bookmarks or excerpt brochures 4 times a year. On top of that we have lots of contests to bring buzz to an authors titles and name. This helps brand the author and garner name recognition.
There are multiple ways of tackling the promotion bug. Some authors specifically only target readers who have a passion for their genre, while others target all lovers of books. To help readers and authors out we have options for both. Authors can target a specific genre by promoting on any of our website that are focused on romance, sci-fi/fantasy, suspense/mystery, young adults or manga readers. We also have an umbrella site - NightOwlReviews.com that has a homepage that branches off into the other websites.

Well you have a lot to do to make sure your book gets picked up off the shelf. Your book is in a stiff competition and you must make it a winner. Many publishers will help with some type of promotion, but you must do the rest.
